1949 Martin 40 4.5hp outboard

1949 Martin 40 4.5hp outboard Video Clips.

1st tank test. My new 1949 Martin 40 4.5hp outboard. Thanks to my buddy Dan for finding this gem for me. Cleaned motor, points, and carb. Tank was very clean. Fired right up. Running on 10:1 with Lucas synthetic 2 stroke oil. I am very proud of this one. I love the low idle speeds (thanks to patented poppet valves instead of reed valves. I got carb dialed in better after video. I think the plugs also cleaned up a bit after running a while (with Seafoam).
